Ann Buchanan Joins Mississippi Medical News

Ann Buchanan recently joined Mississippi Medical News as an associate publisher.

Born in Vicksburg to a military family, Buchanan lived in Okinawa, Japan, and finished high school in England. She studied interior design at the University of Houston, earned an education degree from Ole Miss, and later a Mississippi real estate sales license.

After teaching English, science and math in the Vicksburg Public School District, and serving as office manager for a well-known realtor in a busy Maryland brokerage firm, Buchanan settled in Jackson, Miss., where she established an antiques business, worked in various aspects of real estate sales and management, and most recently served as marketing manager for Time Warner Cable.

"We're honored to have someone of Ann's caliber representing our organization," said Mac Hardcastle, CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Medical News Papers, Inc. "She knows the Mississippi market well."

Buchanan is responsible for developing new business and special projects for Mississippi Medical News.
