Brenda Whitwell, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Coast Medical Center and Tim Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer of Biloxi Regional Medical Center have announced the promotion of Lori Derouen. Lori has been the Director of Marketing and Physician Recruitment for Biloxi Regional Medical Center for over 6 years. With the Health Management Associates, Inc. (HMA) acquisition of Gulf Coast Medical Center, she will now oversee marketing efforts and physician recruitment for both facilities.

Lori serves as a board member to the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce, Greater Biloxi Economic Development Foundation, Main Street Biloxi, Gulf Coast for Kids and the American Heart Association and is a member of Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs. Lori was named Senior Marketing Professional of the Year by the Mississippi Hospital Association in 2005 and was named Outstanding Manager at of the Year at Biloxi Regional in 2003.
