Forrest General Hospital Unveils New Equipment in Radiology Department
HATTIESBURG — Forrest General Hospital Nuclear Medicine in the Radiology Department recently unveiled a new state-of-the-art piece of equipment called GE Infinia. The GE Infinia allows Forrest General physicians to see more detail, improve confidence in diagnoses and consistently improve patient care.
Forrest General is the only hospital in the area to have this particular brand of equipment. The Infinia imaging system delivers unprecedented image quality and provides diagnostic confidence to physicians at Forrest General with a proven impact on patient management. Infinia offers tremendous patient flexibility by allowing for all scanning positions in an ultra-rapid scan cycle.
With GE's Infinia, Forrest General physicians can more accurately detect disease that may otherwise not be detected by other means such as with CT scans alone. Forrest General physicians can now determine the location of the disease, distinguishing it from normal tissue and physiological activity.
