Gary Wilson was recently promoted to market publisher for Mississippi Medical News, the oldest publication produced by Nashville, Tenn.-based Medical News Papers, Inc.

Wilson is well known nationally for his long-running weekly syndicated radio program featuring the Top 20 Gospel Music Countdown, which is broadcast on nearly 100 affiliates in the United States and Canada, and On Demand at www.sgusa.com. A non-commercial version is aired weekly on XM Radio, and worldwide on the American Forces Radio Network (AFRN). The AFRN show is dedicated to the memory of his dad, Tech Sergeant Charles G. Wilson, a decorated World War II veteran.

After receiving six national broadcasting awards, and being inducted into the Mount Olive Hall of Fame for broadcasting accomplishments, Wilson extended his media sales savvy to print advertising. Since joining Medical News Papers, Wilson has successfully marketed the company's popular annual Healthcare Profile special publications.
