The Mississippi Hospital Association's (MHA's) Society for Health Care Marketing & Public Relations recently named its 2007 Board of Directors during its annual meeting. Millie Swan, Director of Physician and Public Relations and Director of Spirit of Women at Forrest General Hospital, was named President of the Society.

Swan has been practicing healthcare marketing and public relations for more than 17 years, serving for more than 11 years at Forrest General. She earned a bachelor of science in Radio, Television and Film with a minor in Political Science from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Swan currently serves as the Region VI Chapter Support Coordinator for the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, and on the United Way of Southeast Mississippi's Community Advisory Council for R3SM, United Way's local long-term recovery coalition that was founded in response to Hurricane Katrina.
